Emmetsburg, IA (KICD) — An Emmetsburg man is arrested after a vehicle goes into the ditch.

The Palo Alto County Sheriffs Office said just after 1-am Friday, they received a call of a man pounding on a door of a farm house, north of Emmetsburg. As officers were responding, they found 30-year old Cameron Sun walking along the road. He told authorities he was in a vehicle with friends, when it went into the ditch.

Upon investigation, Sun was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and public intoxication. He was also charged with possession of contraband in a secure facility, a class D felony. He was booked into the Palo Alto County Jail.

The 1995 Dodge Passenger was not damaged in the mishap. Assisting was the Emmetsburg Police.

Lucy Vodden, now living in Surrey just outside of London _ drifted apart after schoolyard days, but they have gotten back in touch as Lennon has tried to help Vodden cope with Lupus, a life-threatening disease.
